Ok first? The big excitement of the day: THE SUN CAME BACK! Holy moly where you been all year fella?!  It came out shortly after dawn and I was almost tempted to switch courses and throw some massive glitter on this mani, but stayed the course instead… It’s simple, but I like the effect.  I started with a two coat base of China Glaze Want My Bawdy — after the first layer I was sure it was going to be more purple than it looked in the bottle, but the second pass proved it’s a mostly blue number with some hints of purple shine.  Really lovely, I’m glad it’s in my collection.  With that dry, I added some sun/moon circles (could be either, won’t say which one I was thinking of!) and a few chunky corona lines around them for effect in white, yellow and orange paint with some gold glitter paint on top.  Like I said, I’m into this mani; it’s not overly complicated or precise, but I like the retro-bold lines and the way the sun/moon sort of rises and falls from one side of the hand to the other.

Now you’ll have to excuse me, I’ve got a ton of work to knock out before I give myself permission to go ride around in the sun — expecting to see a lot of other folks out at the park today too!
