Started off with a base of Maybelline Express Finish Timely Turquoise — I know it says it’s a 50 seconds to finish polish, which is true for the first coat, but the second coat took just as long as any regular polish to dry. A little frustrating because I was in a hurry to go out for the night (hence picking the quick-dry polish), but whatever. Followed that by dipping around with Kiss Nail Art Silver Glitter, just some freehand squiggles like lava down the nail. But the real frustration of the job? Love & Beauty Starry Sky. It’s SO CUTE in the bottle with all these great little blue stars floating in a sea of slightly-sparkled clear base, but it was seriously like one of thse kiddie fishing games at the arcade — totally impossible to actually extract a star with the brush. It took several efforts to even lift a single star with the brush. If they loaded the bottle with more bling it would be a great polish, but ultimately not worth the effort in the end, I should’ve just stuck with the wheels of appliques I have on hand and not even bothered with this bottle. And this is what I get for ordering from Forever 21 I guess.
