
This one was tricky: not the pattern really (that’s just random lines), but figuring out what to put over this stunner polish that wouldn’t totally obscure it. Orly It’s Not Rocket Science is a wham-bam of what I love about a lot of my favorite sparkly polishes — crazy color depth, bling like all get out, and a nice, non-bumpy finish. Gorgeous. So after putting 3 layers of that down I went in on some of the nails to add a chunky giraffe pattern in acrylic (confession: definitely wanted the lines thinner on this but it got away from me, hence the chunky). The lime green turned out to be such a considerable contrast that it almost looks as though the lines should glow or something. Which actually wouldn’t be a bad idea for some glow in the dark polish in the future…
