As if I’d let the opportunity pass to do a Mexican themed mani! The rub: I’d already done the doggies on my right hand and really didn’t want to take them off, so I used the nail transfer technique over there on the sidebar to paint some designs and apply them to my sad, neglected, stubby left hand. Of course after being so used to the length of the nails on my right, I ended up painting way more than actually made it to the nails on this one — imagine that most of these sugar skulls, save for the pinky, actually had full faces. Either way though, turned out bright and fun and obnoxious — that’s just how I do.
For the base I applied two coats of Sinful Colors neon polishes over Kleancolor White so it wouldn’t stain: Irish Green on the pinky, Summer Peach on the ring, Neon Melon on the middle and Pink for the index (not that you can actually see much of that one, but it’s there!). Transfered my acrylic-painted designs from the paper, removed the excess (insert sad face here), and had a whole 3 minutes to let the topcoat dry before leaving the house again. Apparently even my days off run 100mph…. but FUN, and the nails definitely represented.

Very, very well done – brilliant!
Cool! I like them a lot! Thats a neat idea. It would go great with this lady on youtube’s Cinco de Mayo makeup- He name is Michelle Phan- look ‘er up, she is really cool and she did a couple nail designs too!
love it!
