Still trying to figure this polish out: my friend had put on Sephora by OPI My Personal Serpent the other day and immediately took it off, showing me first how it was clumping and warping on her nail (a quick topcoat while it was tacky didn’t help), so I was already worried about application but had to test it out myself.  The brush kinda sucks; it’s narrow, not a lot of bristles, and the ones that are there are fairly stiff (“I do what I want!”), so right after opening the bottle I got a sense of the problem.  But after putting it on my nail I didn’t have any real problems, AND it was finished in one coat.  Not sure which experience was the fluke here, but I do like the deep smoky color of it (in fact it even seems like it would slide right into the Zoya Smoke Collection).

Then I went in to add a little flower flourish; I was trying to outline it all up in black (which you can still see on some of the edging/around the petals) but it was so close to the dark blue that I couldn’t even tell what was going on and had to change gears quickly on that one; the flower uses Personal Serpent, OPI  Glitzerland and Sephora by OPI Read My Palm.  The original idea was to put flowers on each nail but once I realized the colors weren’t clicking/black wasn’t going to work and I had already overworked the index finger… I’ve learned to leave well enough alone and dropped the original gameplan.
