I’ve been wanting color changing polish for awhile (it appeals to my inner wall-banged teenager that loved wearing Hypercolor shirts) so got silly excited when this came in the mail — and the really good news is that I got TWO bottles; the extra one is now sitting on my freebie shelf and will be part of the next giveaway I do (which shouldn’t be long off, just want to wait til there’s enough there to make it worthwhile…). In the bottle it looks like a pearly shimmer, but as soon as you get it on your warm nails it starts turning pearly pink, which made me happy. Put on a couple of coats then ran around — inside, outside, in the freezer, under water — making it change colors. I sincerely hope I never grow up and cheap thrills like this always put a smile on my face.
The application was a little streaky — pics are without a colored base coat (which probably would have helped) or a topcoat so you can see the polish in the nude (ooh la la!); getting it on seemed somewhat tricky since the polish was actually changing color as I was applying it, so the usual markers of “this is lighter and this is darker so you need more polish over here” didn’t quite work. But again, a white base or something probably would have fixed a lot of that (one to grow on). You can order Del Sol directly from their site for $10.
