Oh hi!  So the past few weeks = exhausting.  Hurricane Isaac blew through here like a big brat, I broke my nails, and my liver is all sorts of ticked off… BUT we fared better than a lot of folks, and after tomorrow all of the storm repairs will be done, so phew and hooray and all of that.  Here’s to getting life back to normal!

Anyway, figured today was a good chance to dig back into the request pile, so pulled one that a bunch of people submitted: Disney Princesses!  I picked out some of my favorites for this one, and while I had to stop with Mulan (too much coffee, way shaky hands) I’m mostly cool with the end results (for all their simplicity, these faces are tricky — one wrong move a hair this way or that and it just stops looking right).  I started with a two coat base of OPI Por Favor (it’s a darling sort of pink that made my hands feel super girly), then used acrylic paint to add Mulan on the pinky, Jasmine on the ring, Belle on the middle and (my fave) Tiana on the index (c’mon, like I’m not gonna do the New Orleans princess?!).

Hope everybody’s doing well — promise I’ll get caught up on everything (emails and FB and blah blah blah) this weekend, no foolin’.
