This is actually a second attempt on this polish: the first time I was too hasty with the application, got it on really thick and wound up with horrible streaking. Obviously not the way things were meant to behave so this go around I took my time with it and, in a *well lit environment* (ain’t that key?!) gave each nail a single pass of China Glaze Metallic Muse. I couldn’t believe it, but there it was, a perfect finish and cover in one swipe where previously I’d bungled it beyond repair! I kept holding my hand up to various light sources just to be sure I wasn’t missing a spot, but nope, great in one coat, which is a tricky ask on these foil-like finishes (and certainly picks up every little nick and ridge in my nails, yikes!).
Unfortunately this beautiful glassy surface only magnified the grossness of the glue pile on my pinky (to cut or not to cut is the question this week — can I live with short nails again?) so I went in with a dotting tool and started dropping Kleancolor White and Wet n Wild Ebony Hates Chris over the problem area… which was kinda cool and sucked me in til I ended up putting random dottiness on each of the nails somewhere…

Ooooh I love this mani!! It looks so cool!
