Oh hayyyyyy!  Been a long couple of months but SUPER excited for a new year/kissing off 2011 so turning it out tonight with some costumed fun (and yeah, my hands are a total wreck, so starting those off fresh for the new year too).

I wanted to get some simple nails going that used glow in the dark polish for extra dark-room effect, needed to use the colors from my outfit (green, black, white and pink), and do something that would match up with a retro look.  Started with a white base then covered it up with two coats of OPI Zom-body To Love to get the glow down, followed with a stamp in black from BM-203.  Afterwards I went in with some Miji pens to finish out some wonked lines (would not advise sitting on the couch doing that sort of thing when a little dog is in full-tear mode, there WILL be bouncing on and off of the cushions) and then fill in a few bits with white and pink, net effect with some odd glowing shapes in the dark given that half of the glow is covered somehow.  But wait, there’s more!  So that it still had some oomph in the daylight I also added a coat of nubar 2010.

So toodles 2011, you were interesting… but HUH-LOOOOO 2012, you’re gonna be grand!  Happy New Year to everybody — onward and upward!
