Bianca emailed with a quick idea for nail art — love me some quick right now! — so worked this one out after brunch today. The base is two coats of Deborah Lippmann Sugar Daddy (kills me to have these just sitting on the counter, untested) — it’s a fun sort of rose gold number that does some color bending in the sun in rose and lime shimmer over the gold base.
Once that dried I painted in some flower petals in blue; I used acrylic paint, but you can just use regular nail polish with a skinny brush, or even a nail striper. Point is you want to create them petals. Then I added some loose glitter — you can use regular glitter polish too though — to fill in those spaces with blue glitter. If your glitter pieces get out of hand, bring in your dotting tool or a toothpick or something and push those flakes back into place if you can. I also went back in with some white acrylic (again, you can use a white nail polish pen or striper too) to hilight a few edges of the petals and add some dots for a bit more fun. Afterwards I went in with a clear coat of SV and, while that was still wet, dropped a yellow rhinestone into the center of each flower. Seal it again with an overall topcoat and voila, you’ve got a pretty easy stunner flower job!

Gorgeous. I have a flower nail art challenge day I need to catch up on, i may have to recreate these. EIther way, it’s pinned for future use! =)

Oh, that is quite pretty! Well done!
wow! love the bar glitter on the flowers! i haven’t seen loose bar glitter in my local craft store…where’d you get yours?
Thanks ladies! Momma, the glitter is from those collections of small round plastic canisters of glitter and rhinestone — I’ve seen them on Amazon but I think I probably got this batch from eBay:

These are soooo pretty! They would be lovely wedding nails. And I don’t know where or if you take requests but…. I would love to see some more Disney nails like the lion king or Winnie the pooh or even some of the princesses. You are so talented.
Thank you! That’s actually the second Pooh mention this weekend, I’ll definitely bump it up the list
Aww I love them!! Thanks for doing them!:)
