It was almost a shame to go over the base on this one, two coats of Orly Wild Wisteria which is just a great deep-dark purple color, but went for it anyway. The flames are based out in white Kleancolor then colored in layers with Art Club Go Green and Green plus Wet n Wild SaGreena The Teenage Witch.

This is so cool! Last week my hubs told me he wanted me to do flames but I couldn’t figure it out. Thanks for the visual.
LOVE this! And I love the base color. I wonder if I can find that anywhere.
Meg, it’s crazy easy once you get the flames outlined in white — have fun with it, I’m sure the hubs will love it! Olivia, it’s from the 2010 spring collection, it’s got to still be floating around out there… and the internet always provides, I’m betting amazon or ebay has a bottle hiding somewhere
This is so awesome! I never thought of adding dimension to flame nails! Defiantly gonna try this! You are the most talented nail artist! Love you XOXO
Was there a tutorial on this ? I am so confused and it is so pretty I want to try!
Please help!
Not so much…. yet. They’re really not super difficult though — for this one I used some Kleancolor White and a small brush to first draw in the base of the flames (so that the green colors would pop) and then went back in adding the various other polishes in steps to make it sort of fade. As long as you can get the shape of the flames put in the way you like with white, the rest is a cakewalk!
