Jewli sent in a request for hippo nails — because she’s right, you really don’t see a lot of hippo nail art out there — so I set out Googling pictures of hippos to see what sort of inspiration popped up.  And then I saw this and caught the gigglefits:

So that became my reference, even though it’s not “real” hippos…. they’re cute and funny!  This was all acrylic; kinda fudged the background (a wavy mess of green and blue that overran a couple of lines) but overall I think it worked.
