Went through two rounds of the base on this — currently in a love-hate place with Essie; loooove this color (Power Clutch) but that it takes such careful application to get an even coat with the formula is a bummer. ┬áSo I had to do it over when the first round went kerflooey, still didn’t totally love the finish and used Art Club Creme De Razzberry to draw in some pretty aggressive tiger stripes.

I feel the same way about essie polishes! Adore the colors, but the formula is kinda tough to get right! Love this mani, though!

  7. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with “aggressive tiger stripes” because these look fab!

I agree, though.. I’m kind of in the same spot with essie. I feel like their colors are so “meh” unless you’re mainly looking for neutral cremes, and application is so tricky. I usually pass them by. :

I fell in love with this as soon as I saw it.
    Absolutely, j’adore.

I actually went out and bought similar polish colours to try this out and it went horrifically. My tiger stripes were super fat and hunky even though I used a liner brush. Guess I just have a heavy hand, haha.

So I just opted out for a solid pinky lilac but added grey french tips on my thumbs and that combo in reverse for my ring fingers. Meh.
