Anybody else crazy excited for a new year already?! Come onnnnnn 2013! Decided to get the celebration started a little early with some 2013 nails (if I stare at it long enough, the hands of the clock will start spinning faster and 2013 will get here that much sooner). The base here is three coats of China Glaze I’m Not Lion — I really need to coordinate these sparkly polishes with sunlight better; it was a downright shame to take photos of it outside on a grey day, but unfortunately that’s all we’re getting lately so it is what it is (did sneak a couple under a halogen bulb too, so at least some of the ka-bling-pow was proven). Point being, this polish is YOWZA with the glittery businesses; even without the topcoat, when it had a sort of flat/matte finish to it, the polish was picking up light sources like crazy. Basically way into the polish, though I’m not looking forward to taking it off since it’s so dense with glitters and will probably cling to the nail for dear life.
With that set, I used Kleancolor Black — yes, REAL polish! — to paint in 2013 on each nail. See, you can tell it’s real polish because it bled a little in some spots (grrr), but at least I’m trying to keep with the roots of this thing and not just live off of acrylic, right?
So heya, Happy (early) New Year everybody, I hope it’s amazing for everybody!
