This right here is the next step in overcoming my texture-phobia — one day you’re gonna pop over here and see me with nothing but blingy rhinestones on my nails and I won’t. bitch. about. it.  I started with a two coat base of nubar Edgy Umber, another “can’t go wrong” polish from this awesome brand in a deep, cool chocolate color (it’d be bitter and delicious with salt if you could eat it.  But don’t, you’re not that confused lady from My Strange Addiction).  When that dried, I added an arc of color in bright pink from a Migi pen so I could set not one but TWO rows of rhinestones from Bundle Monster on the nail.  Then I put in a couple of coats of  Barry M Once Upon A Time (I love you if you just thought of Moody Blues) over the tips, sealed it all down with some SV and carefully stepped away from the nails before I went too far.

Follow the breadcrumb trail of crazy here: At first it sort of looked like colors for a sundae, but a sundae would have red for the cherries, and this doesn’t… Focus on the stones, that’s all you see at first anyway, maybe they’re lights?… Yes!  The rhinestones must be lights!  So maybe it’s like Vegas nails, with a string of bright flashing hypnotic bulbs and a whole lot of glitter and flare, but something really dark resting at the edges… Wow, that kind of works…  But wait, if I call it “Vegas Nails”, that sort of undersells a manicure I could do in the future that would actually feature real Vegas landmarks and junk painted in, let’s not go tossing good names away because you’re lazy… What other cities are kind of flashy and gnarly in equal measure?

And then this song popped in my head and it was all over:
