Here’s my thought for the day: life doesn’t have an undo button, and neither does nail polish.
So since you can’t delete mistakes (you can remove them, but dang, then you’re just starting over again and there’s no fun in that) sometimes you’ve just got to roll with them. Like this colorful mess. It began well enough: two coats of ZOYA Jinx, this great coppery metal finish that I seriously thought twice about covering. But did it anyway. Went in with the BM-209 plate and some Konad Yellow to stamp in the grid/fishnet pattern, which was going great… until I got to the index finger. Total smudgefest. But the others were all cool and I didn’t want to mess up the index finger further by trying to peel off the stamp with polish remover, so I dug in and went for the gold star for overcorrection. I used some Wet n Wild Ebony Hates Chris to add dashes going in one direction on each nail then pulled out the long brush to swipe the Konad Yellow again over the other direction. It’s not perfect by any means (when you know it’s a mess you sort of check out of the process and stop caring so much about linework) but it still turned out an interesting effect. Bumblebees and wire screens is all I’m sayin’.
