Ever since I did my friend’s little pinky nails the other weekend I’ve really wanted to do a shark on my own nail so decided to give it a shot using acrylics. What I learned: wait for the dang paint to dry before you put a topcoat on goober. Turns out if it’s not completely dry you get these, I don’t know, air bubbles or texturing or something, it’s not cute. But that’s what I get for rushing.
The base is Orly Halley’s Comet with some black smudged at the bottom to mimic the layout of the JAWS poster/cover. I know what you’re thinking: “uhhhhh the water in that graphic is way more blue than this”. (what, not what you were thinking?) See here’s what happened: in the 4th, and most ridiculous/awful installment of the Jaws series, Jaws: The Revenge, Ellen Brody goes to visit her last living son (you know the shark got ‘em all!) in the Bahamas where the water is impossibly sea-green-blue. So this is from down there and not up in Amity where the water is a lot colder. And the stories a little more believable.

Ah! So cool!
