Geez this week is flying by! Had to whip out something quick for today so did a marble technique on a bit of parchment paper to create some color-darted layers using a few colors from the China Glaze Hunger Games Collection — Fast Track (sparkly coffee ice cream color, reminds me of China Glaze Classic Camel), Dress Me Up (smoky rose) and Foie Gras. Hopped in the shower while that dried then it down on the nails and sealed with Seche Vite before running out the door — definitely on the easy & quick end of the spectrum, but still interesting to look at!
And the name? Something about the melted look of this plus the colors made me think of the Tchoupitoulas Challenge at Creole Creamery here in New Orleans: eight scoops of ice cream and your choice of eight toppings served in grand fashion with whipped cream, cherries, and wafers. It’s insane. Had a friend make a run at it a couple of years ago — he got super close, but close doesn’t quite cut it, and the melted scoop-ish of ice cream with topping debris left in the monster bowl looked a little like this.

These are gorgeous, they remind me of Florentine marbled paper!
I love this look, very cool. So was this like a transfer from the parchment paper to your nails, a dry marble?
I thought Classic Camel looked a lot like Fast track too, but when I swatched them on the nail wheel they are waaay more different than I’d expected! Both awesome though.
Yep, totally a dry marble on parchment! I just put down a few rows of color then used a pointed tool to drag lines through it while it was wet.
And you’re right, both awesome indeed — I don’t know why I like the carmel colors as much as I do but those CG folks definitely know what they’re doing!
I love that this is a quick and easy design for you lol
It looks great as always Nerd
Ha! It totally is easy though! Wet nail polish and a stick, if my dogs had thumbs I bet they could do it too.
Super fun and easy, great color combo for you!
Thank you ladies! I like that it’s still colorful and interesting without being super obnoxious about it.
Wow I am loving the colors you used for this mani! So awesome!
Oooo, now I really can’t wait to get my bottle of Foie Gras (I’ve already received the other two)….hopefully it should show up in the mail soon.
Love it!
