Awhile ago — a long, long while if we’re being precise — Denise suggested I do a manicure based on The Sword In The Stone, probably one of the better Disney animations from the heydey of hand-painted cell animation. And for the record, I for one hope they never remake it, it’s perfect just as it is.
So here ya go! Excalibur on the pinky, Madam Mim (how great was she?!) on the ring, Merlin in the middle and young Arthur on the index. And not sure you can actually tell, but each is on a base of real nail polish this time (how’s that for mixing it up?!) with nubar Gem, nubar Prize, Sally Hansen Tough Luck and nubar Gold Glitter, in the same order.
Also, best scene:

Agreed, that was a wonderful movie! One of my favorites. Jungle Book Rocked, also, lol! That is a wonderful mani, by the way, and your nail art is amazing, as always
Ohhh, I love the film – and the nails, so well made
Love it so much!! Amazing artwork for such a great movie! Marvelous, marvelous, marvelous mad Madam Mim!
this is… i even don’t know what word to use, but it’s really perfect, fantastic job, love it
One of my favorite movies when I was little! I need to visit my parents so I can dig it out and watch it again.
Thanks ladies! Totally remember watching this a bunch as a kid, and loved all of the great scenes where everybody would change into different animals (oh man that lady squirrel…) Jessica, I hope you find it!
And oh boy Jungle Book — I’ve gotta add that to the pile too!
