This little bugger snuck onto a shelf without my having tested it somehow, but I knew there was a Fozzie (named after puppet builder Faz Fazakas) to be done, and had way too much coffee this morning, so here ya go! (This’ll also be the last Muppet mani this week, I realize I’ve been a little indulgent here.) The base is 2 coats of OPI Wocka Wocka!, a rich berry color with a metallic kick to it. Super pretty, and dried surprisingly fast. I painted Fozzie in the middle and, still lamenting that my nails aren’t long enough for more of him, took his happy polka dot scarf to make some flutters on the other nails.
Also, in case it’s been too long to remember the amazing comedy stylings of Mr. Fozzie Bear, here are a few goodies:
Did I tell you the one about the man with the lightbulb in his nose? He was lightheaded! Get it? Wocka Wocka Wocka!
Fozzie: There was this sailor that was SO fat
Sailor: How fat was he? [breaks bottle and points it towards him threateningly]
Fozzie: Uh … He was so fat that everybody liked him, and there was nothing funny about him at all.
Skeeter: The first event, the 100 meter tree swing!
Fozzie: They’re gonna swing a tree? Gee, those monkeys must be strong!

it’s awesome!!! i love the muppets!!! i did a kermit manicure!! you should do a tutorial on how to paint fozzy!!
I mean, he’s the cutest, right?! I’ll have to go check your Kermie out, but yesssss good idea — I’m not going to repaint him but give me a few minutes and I’ll throw a diagram of the steps at the bottom of the post.
awesome!! thanx for doing a diagram!!! i’ll let you know when i try to paint him
Oh please do! The only thing I enjoy more than painting this stuff is seeing what other folks are churning out — let’s start a finger-Muppet army!
i can never do designs of eyes and noses because my black and white nail polishes are thick…do you think i can still do it if i try real hard.(btw, what color do you think lokks good on long nails wit tan skin?)
try checking out some acrylic paints (like the little hobby paints you can get from the craft store) — they’re less thick and easier to deal with than polishes.
none of these people are answering me.i’mm not allowed bright red like that i’m only 8 years old… any good sub backrounds?
seriously, these are awesome!but i need a good backround.
you could always do a pink color — that would match his scarf!
