In honor of my buddy Bryan coming down for the upcoming holiday, I bring you “you tiger now!” nails (because it just never stops being funny for some reason.) Started with a 2 coat base of OPI A Good Man-darin is Hard to Find from the Hong Kong Collection, then broke out one of the smaller pointed tip brushes. I usually just put a blob of the black polish (Sinful Colors Black on Black again) on this glass candle topper I have so that it’s easier to grab the polish on the brush.
For the tiger stripes, you want to get a generous amount of polish going so that you don’t have to go over the stripe twice (which is where you’ll run into problems and bleeds). Position the brush on the outside of the nail, press down fairly firmly so you get a thick base and then gently glide it over your nail pulling up as you go to make a crescent sliver that tapers around the middle of your nail. Start at the base of your nail and then alternate from side to side until you’ve worked all the way up to the tip.
The nails look fine as-is when you’re done but for a little more embellishment you can go back over your nails, this time picking up a little less polish, and dragging secondary smaller lines off of the ones you already created (I’ve had a gang of coffee today so some of mine got a little sloppy, but whatever, tigers do what they want.)

fabulous mani as always!
Thanks doll!
Hey, I am not sure if you know, but if you want color for striping and what not, the best stuff to get is your basic water based acrylic paint from the craft store. It’s safe and most salons will use it. You can get the wide range of colors and sometimes for like less than a dollar a tube! I’d check it out! That’s what I use and its been heaven sent for making designs. Hope this helps in your art
Bless you Natashia, thank you! I’ve been meaning to get to the craft store but it’s just been too oppressively hot to make that trip… Should probably just bite the bullet and order some online already.
Really cute!!! It’s surprising how the cutest manicures are also the simplest and easiest!
